WHY CHOOSE REAL LEATHER FURNITURE?

If you're considering purchasing leather living room furniture, you're probably attracted to the look and feel of leather. Leather is a durable material that's always in style, especially if you choose classic pieces. Its luxurious look and feel mix in with modern or traditional elements perfectly, adding warmth and texture to rooms. Plus, leather furniture is durable and easy to care for. Many people
prefer leather furniture because it doesn't harbor dust mites, pet dander, and other allergens as easily as fabric does. But not all leather is created equal.

TYPES OF LEATHER FURNITURE

FULL GRAIN LEATHER
Full grain leather is the finest leather furniture available on the market. While it can feel tough initially, full-grain leather softens with regular use.

TOP GRAIN LEATHER
Top grain leather has a more polished look and is softer than full grain leather due to the buffing process.

SPLIT GRAIN LEATHER
Split grain leather is a tougher feeling leather. It is not as easy to maintain as top and full grain leather because the surface of split leather is technically an interior layer of the hide.

NUBUCK LEATHER
Nubuck leather is created using sanded rawhide from cattle, giving it a soft appearance and suede-like
feel.

BI-CAST LEATHER
Bi-Cast leather is split-grain leather with a coat of color polyurethane, making it look like top grain leather for a cheaper cost. Bi-cast leather is prone to peeling and cracking without the proper treatment.

BONDED LEATHER
Bonded leather is created from leather scraps that are rolled up using an adhesive material. They have a high-quality look and smell, but most bonded leather furniture contains less than 20% of genuine leather.

FAUX LEATHER
Faux leather is artificial. It can be an affordable, durable and attractive alternative, but it does not have the same quality as natural leather.

LEATHER LIVING ROOM FURNITURE DESIGN TIPS

1. ADD A NEW NEUTRAL TO YOUR SPACE
Give your living room color palette some pop! Bring a neutral-hued sofa into the mix. If the piece is neutral-colored, it should integrate easily with your existing décor scheme, making your color palette more dynamic.

2. TIGHT ROOM? CHOOSE A NARROW COUCH
Is your living room small? If so, snag a loveseat instead of a standard sofa. A two-seat couch will make your living room feel cozy versus overcrowded.

3. ADORN YOUR SOFA WITH SIDE TABLES
Couches are more oversized than coffee tables, so consider adding an end table on either side of your sofa. The table space will ensure that everyone on your sofa has a convenient place to relax.

4. CHOOSE A BULKY COUCH TO GROUND THE ROOM
There's just something so charming about a bulky leather couch. With its silhouette and plush seats,
this reliable, feel-good favorite can ground your entertainment space in coziness.

Q: WHAT ARE LEATHER GRADES
A: Several factors determine leather grades. For example, grade 6 leather is a high-quality hide (leatherworkers cut around more natural imperfections and heat and dye the leather longer for a more sumptuous look and feel). But though the cost of lower grades may be less, that doesn't mean that a grade 1 leather is bad quality since it is still a full grain leather.

Q: IS LEATHER FURNITURE KID-PROOF AND PET FRIENDLY?
A: Not only is leather strong enough to withstand jumping children and climbing pets for years, but it also ages well.

Q: WILL THE COLOR OF THE LEATHER I SEE ON THE WEBSITE BE THE SAME AS WHAT I RECEIVE
A: Color is one of the most crucial decisions when selecting leather living room furniture. Leather color can vary depending on the dye lot. We cannot guarantee that the color you receive will be the exact same as the showroom sample, but it will be close. When viewing colors on our website, digital images might appear differently than in person, depending on your device's settings and the light you're viewing it in.
