Head Springs Depot is honored to team up with local teen Girl Scout Olivia Bratcher and the Williamson Medical Center Foundation for their Pink Chair Project initiative that provides recliner chairs for recovering breast cancer patients to use after surgery.
Olivia’s mother, Amy, had breast cancer and received the recommendation to get a recliner to make her recovery from surgery practical and comfortable. Olivia’s inspiration for the Pink Chair Project came when her mother received a recliner from another breast cancer survivor who would lend out her personal recliner to women recovering after breast surgery.
The goal of the Pink Chair Project is to purchase recliners that breast health navigators can assign to patients after surgery. Once they are back on their feet, they will return the chair so it can be used by another patient. With the help of donations, Head Springs Depot will provide these recovery recliners to ease the healing process for these brave breast cancer patients at cost.
Head Springs will store and deliver the recliners in coordination with the Breast Health Navigators at Williamson Medical Center to serve these local patients.
