Mayo Furniture has been building quality upholstered seating in East Texas for nearly 60 years. Founder Linn Mayo started the company in 1965 with a simple mission: create furniture he would be proud to put in his own home. That commitment to quality continues today under the leadership of his son Mike and grandsons Stephen, Ben, and Patrick. 

The 156,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Texarkana employs over 200 skilled craftspeople who build each piece to order using time-tested construction methods combined with modern manufacturing technology.

One of the standout features of Mayo Furniture is the ability to customize nearly every aspect of your piece without waiting months for delivery. Select from over 50 frame styles including sofas, sectionals, loveseats, sleeper sofas, accent chairs, swivel chairs, and swivel gliders. Then choose from 550 fabric options including stain-resistant Crypton and Revolution performance fabrics that stand up to everyday life with kids and pets. 

For leather lovers, Mayo offers more than 85 top grain leather options ranging from smooth contemporary finishes to distressed and weathered looks. Additional customization includes leg shape and finish, nailhead trim styles and colors, and throw pillow selections included with your purchase.

Unlike manufacturers who source components globally, Mayo has developed a uniquely American supply chain by necessity. Located far from the traditional furniture manufacturing hubs of North Carolina and Virginia, the company invested in producing many components locally. Frames are constructed from 100% hardwood cut using computer-aided design systems. Seating is supported by durable 8-gauge sinuous wire springs spaced for even weight distribution. 

Cushions feature high-density polyurethane foam layered with softer foam and polyester fiber for optimal comfort that holds its shape over time. This construction quality is backed by a limited lifetime warranty on frames, cushions, and springs.

Mayo's investment in automated fabric and leather cutting, wood panel processing, and foam fabrication equipment enables industry-leading turnaround times. Most custom orders ship in approximately three weeks rather than the three to four months typical of other custom upholstery brands.
