MATTRESSES

A QUALITY MATTRESS CAN BENEFIT YOUR OVERALL HEALTH.

One of your body and mind's most critical needs is getting deeply restful sleep. Sleeping soundly throughout the night keeps you looking and feeling better and improves your health.

Purchasing a mattress for your home is an investment, which is why you will only find high-quality, brand-name mattresses at Head Springs Depot. Education is essential, so we break down the types of mattresses to help you decide which one is right for you. And, to make shopping even easier, we answer some FAQs.

WHY YOU NEED A GOOD MATTRESS

It's well known that getting enough sleep is linked to good general health. Your bedroom should promote deep rest and sleep — so you need a good mattress. Finding the right mattress involves getting the proper support and comfort level.

TYPES OF MATTRESSES

Shopping for a new mattress doesn't have to be overwhelming. We break down the different types of mattresses to help you determine what you need.

COIL

Coil mattresses are regularly available at a lower price than other mattress types. They are a good choice for a first-time mattress buyer or as an entry-level mattress for shoppers with a limited budget. The coils in coil mattresses compress when pressure is applied and then spring back quickly when pressure is removed.

SPRING

If you love coil mattresses but want added, customized comfort, a pocketed coil mattress may be a good fit. Each coil is individually wrapped in foam and fabric, which enables the coils to respond independently to how you are lying. In addition to the adaptive coils, there is a top layer of foam for a premium feel.

FOAM

In foam mattresses, every layer is made with foam, latex, or fabric — no coils are involved in the construction. Foam mattresses provide high levels of pressure relief, motion isolation, and noise reduction. They can include one or more layers and may include memory foam, polyfoam, or other fabrics. Quality foam mattresses have above-average durability.

HYBRID

In many hybrid mattresses, the innerspring core is built with pocketed coils that boost the motion isolation of the bed, increasing edge support and bounce. Hybrids generally provide solid temperature regulation because the coils retain little heat. Hybrids can be more expensive than other mattress types.

AIR

The support core of air mattresses is adjustable. Pumps put air in or pull it out, making it possible to alter the feel of the bed. Most pumps are easily controlled with a smartphone app or attached or wireless controls. Some air mattresses have different air chambers underneath various body parts, providing even more flexibility.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT MATTRESS

Getting good sleep is one of the best ways to maintain and improve your health. So it's imperative to choose a mattress that suits your needs and delivers deep rest. Here are some mattress-buying tips.

1. MEASURE

Take measurements to ensure the size of your desired mattress will comfortably fit into your space.

2. CHOOSE A WELL-KNOWN BRAND

Choose brands with lasting staying power — veterans in the mattress industry with high rankings in customer satisfaction that have mastered their craft.

3. TEST THE MATTRESS

Try it before you buy it. We recommend visiting our showroom, where you can check out the look and feel of the mattress.

4. BUY A MATTRESS PROTECTOR

Purchase a mattress protector to keep your mattress in its best condition. It's good for your investment and your health!

Mattress FAQs

The general recommendation is to replaceyour mattress every 7 to 10 years, which canvary depending on care
